About PivotHero

PivotHero is a reporting tool built for people who need clear answers from their spreadsheets without becoming spreadsheet experts. Upload a file, and the underlying analysis — the rows, columns, values and groupings that would normally take real Excel know-how to set up — is handled for you.

Why we built it

Pivot tables are one of the most useful features in Excel, and one of the least approachable. Most business owners, sales managers and operations teams don't have the time or background to learn them properly, so useful reporting either falls to whoever happens to know Excel best, or doesn't happen at all. PivotHero exists to close that gap.

Our approach

We built PivotHero to recommend a sensible report configuration automatically, and to explain in plain language why it made each choice — which column it treated as a date, which as a category, which as a number worth summing. Recommendations aren't a black box: you can accept them as-is or adjust every field yourself. The goal is to save time on the repetitive part of reporting, not to replace your judgment about what the numbers mean.

How we handle your data

Spreadsheets often contain sensitive business information, so we treat it that way. Passwords are hashed with Argon2id, connections are encrypted, and uploaded files are only ever used to generate the reports you asked for. You can find the specifics in our Privacy Policy and Security Policy, and you can request your data be deleted at any time from your account settings.
